Summer special: An object, a sound, a story: discovering Ottoki
Family visit to discover an aspect of the rich collections of the MEG. Library and permanent exhibition. Thursday 14 July, 3.00 p. m. In French only

As part of the "Partir en livres" programme, whose theme for this summer is friendship, let us discover how Ottoki, a young Inuit, saved an astronaut on the ice floe near the North Magnetic Pole, and how the astronaut thanked him, much later and far from Earth. After looking at the objects in the Inuit showcase, we will discover the story of Ottoki in the library's music room. The visit will end with listening to Inuit sounds.

Dans le cadre du programme «Partir en livres» dont la thématique pour cet été est l'amitié, découvrons comment Ottoki, un jeune Inuit, sauva un astronaute sur la banquise, près du pôle nord magnétique, et comment l'astronaute le remercia, bien plus tard et bien loin de la Terre. Après avoir observé les objets de la vitrine inuit, découvrons l'histoire d'Ottoki dans le salon de musique de la bibliothèque. La visite se terminera par l'écoute de sons inuits.
