A performance led by Ivonne González to invoke the Marronnes*, the forgotten women of history, rooted in resistance and the desire for freedom. Through storytelling, song, music and ritual, we will revisit the struggles waged from North to South America by powerful, inspiring and revolutionary black women. A performance to bring them to the surface of our skins, to inspire us, so that we don't forget them. This artistic intervention is part of the exhibition "Memories. The performance is preceded by a guided tour of the exhibition.

Une performance menée par Ivonne González pour invoquer les Marronnes*, ces femmes oubliées de l’histoire, ancrées dans la résistance et dans le désir de liberté. À travers les récits, les chants, la musique, le rituel, nous reviendrons sur les luttes menées du Nord au Sud des Amériques par des femmes noires puissantes, inspirantes et révolutionnaires. Une performance pour les faire émerger à la surface des peaux, s’inspirer, pour ne pas les oublier.
Cette intervention artistique prend place dans l’exposition « Mémoires. Genève dans le monde colonial »
*Marronnes : les femmes qui fuiront l’esclavage et se battront contre le régime esclavagiste.
