Discover and experiment with the art of bookbinding with Amalia Chraïti-Martin and explore simple creative techniques which are easy to recreate at home: sewn binding, stitched notebooks, elastic-bound or stapled notebooks. The workshop also invites you to create your own personalised stamps, then bring to life a notebook, a sketchbook or even a mini-zine.
Open to all from the age of 12, this workshop requires no prior experience — just a desire to work with paper, experiment and leave with unique creations made by your own hands!
Artist and graphic designer, Amalia Chraïti-Martin has developed a practice driven by a passion for print and paper objects. After completing a Bachelor’s degree in visual communication, she forged a multidisciplinary path combining graphic design, photography and scenography, with a particular interest in traditional bookbinding techniques. Her extensive experience in printing has nurtured this sensitive connection to materials, inks and craftsmanship. Today, alongside her work as a freelance graphic designer, she is a teaching assistant in the publishing & printing department at HEAD – Geneva. Through her workshops, Amalia shares this passion for print and bookbinding.

Initiez-vous à l’art de la reliure aux côtés d’Amalia Chraïti-Martin et explorez des techniques créatives, simples et faciles à refaire chez vous: reliure cousue, cahier piqué, carnet à l’élastique ou à l’agrafe. L’atelier vous invite aussi à créer vos propres tampons personnalisés, puis à donner vie à un carnet de notes, un carnet de dessin ou même un mini-zine.
Accessible à tous et toutes dès 12 ans, cet atelier ne demande aucune expérience préalable — seulement l’envie de manipuler le papier, d’expérimenter et de repartir avec des créations uniques faites de vos mains!
Artiste et graphiste, Amalia Chraïti-Martin développe une pratique guidée par une passion pour l’imprimé et les objets papier. Après un Bachelor en communication visuelle, elle construit un parcours pluridisciplinaire où se rencontrent graphisme, photographie et scénographie, avec un intérêt particulier pour les techniques artisanales de l’édition. Ses nombreuses expériences en imprimerie nourrissent ce lien sensible à la matière, aux encres et aux gestes. Aujourd’hui, en parallèle de sa pratique de graphiste indépendante, elle est assistante d’enseignement au pool édition & impression de la HEAD – Genève. À travers ses ateliers, Amalia partage cette passion pour l’imprimé et la reliure.
