Inspired by tropical rainforests and an idealised, fantasy jungle, the “jungle garden” is a dense ecosystem teeming with lush vegetation. After the summer heat, now is the perfect time of year to appreciate this abundance of greenery.
Discover this new garden with the gardeners behind the project, Matthieu Grillet and Alexandre Chappuis, to learn more about the history of this spectacular creation and wander through its jungle atmosphere.
Connecting from the outside the two entrances to the tropical greenhouse, the “jungle garden” benefits from a favorable microclimate, sheltered from cold winds. An experimental and constantly evolving garden, it provides the necessary conditions to test plants' resistance to external conditions, their acclimatisation, and their adaptation to climate change.
The guided tour also offers an opportunity to discuss our understanding of the environment and the challenges facing those who explore the world of plants. So, are you ready for the adventure?

Inspiré des forêts tropicales humides et d’une jungle idéalisée et fantasmée, le « jardin jungle » est un écosystème dense en végétaux exubérants. Après les chaleurs de l’été, c’est maintenant le meilleur moment de l’année pour apprécier cette luxuriance de verdure.
Partez à la découverte de ce nouveau jardin, en compagnie des jardiniers à l’initiative de ce projet, Matthieu Grillet et Alexandre Chappuis – pour en apprendre plus sur l’histoire de cet aménagement spectaculaire et déambuler à travers cette ambiance de jungle.
Permettant de relier les deux entrées de la serre tropicale par l’extérieur, le « jardin jungle » bénéficie d’un microclimat favorable, à l’abri des vents froids. Jardin expérimental et en permanente évolution, il réunit les conditions pour tester la résistance des plantes aux conditions extérieures, leur acclimatation et leur adaptation au réchauffement climatique.
La visite guidée offre aussi un moment d’échanges sur notre compréhension de l’environnement, et les défis qui attendent les explorateurs et exploratrices du végétal. Alors, prêts et prêtes pour l’aventure ?
