In 2024, Breakdance entered the Olympic Games. To celebrate this premiere, the Roulotte Urbaine organizes in partnership with the city of Villeneuve d'Ascq on Saturday, May 25, 2024 the Battle Raw Concept: the best Breaking athletes from around the world will be gathered at the Palacium; nearly 80 artists from 16 countries, some of which will be competing in the Olympic Games.

Friday, May 24:

Open training Breaking from 18:30 to 20:30, a training will be open to the public with all athletes

Saturday, May 25:

Urban and sports village from 2:30 pm to 5:15 pm (free admission): discover urban cultures through artistic and sports workshops: initiation to hip-hop, graffiti, basketball, Panna football… International Breaking Competition with 16 Olympic delegations: 80 dancers - 2 MC - 1 DJ & 3 internationally renowned judges who will share their expertise and perspectives to evaluate the competitors.

An introduction to breaking in Villeneuvoises schools

On May 6, 7, 13, 14 & 16, 2024, the Roulotte Urbaine will introduce young people to Breaking with a performance battle and participatory workshop in the form of flashmob in the classes of 10 primary schools in the city.
