Artificial intelligence is gradually transforming the way we create, perform and perceive music. But how does it really work? How do algorithms manage to generate music? What are their capabilities and limitations? What impact do these new technologies have on artists' creativity, and what opportunities do they offer? And what legal and ethical issues do they raise?
Moderated by Geneva-based DJ and producer Yann Wu, an active member of the Ozadya collective and official DJ for rapper Mairo, this workshop invites you to plunge into the heart of this technological and artistic revolution. Through demonstrations, discussions and a practical case study of AI-assisted musical creation, you will explore this development, drawing on in-depth research tracing the origins and development of musical algorithms, while analysing their artistic, technical and legal implications.
Designed to stimulate collective thinking, this workshop aims to offer a critical and in-depth vision of the future of music in the age of artificial intelligence, while exploring the potential of AI applied to music. It is aimed at musicians, composers, technology enthusiasts, researchers and anyone interested in exploring the future of musical creation.

Comment les algorithmes parviennent-ils à générer de la musique ? Quelles sont leurs capacités et leurs limites ? Quel impact ces nouvelles technologies ont-elles sur la créativité des artistes, et quelles opportunités leur offrent-elles ? Enfin, quels enjeux juridiques et éthiques soulèvent-elles ?
Modéré par le DJ et producteur genevois Yann Wu, membre actif du collectif Ozadya et DJ officiel du rappeur Mairo, ce workshop vous invite à plonger au cœur de cette révolution technologique et artistique. À travers des démonstrations, des échanges et un cas pratique de création musicale assistée par IA, il vous proposer d’explorer cette évolution en s’appuyant sur un travail de recherche approfondi retraçant les origines et l’évolution des algorithmes musicaux, tout en analysant leurs implications artistiques, techniques et juridiques.
