In order to raise awareness of the decolonial process undertaken by MEG, including the youngest, we propose to rediscover the history of certain objects in our collections.
Let's go with Siam, an Asian elephant, from his work in the Indian forest to his arrival in Europe. After observing the elephant in the MEG's collections, let's discover the story of Siam, who was born in Asia and worked in several jobs before being exhibited in the Evolution Gallery of the Museum of Natural History in Paris. The visit ends by listening to sounds related to its history.
Places are limited and booking is obligatory from Monday to Friday by email to publics.meg@ville-ge.ch, specifying your name, first name, telephone number and the number of people accompanying you.
