Born in 1974, Gamo is a Geneva-based artist whose roots lie in the graffiti and hip-hop culture of the 1980s.
His artistic practice begins with the search for abandoned objects and discarded materials, collected during his urban wanderings. From these recovered elements, he creates a unique visual universe in which recycling becomes a medium for artistic expression.
For this exhibition, the works are created on reclaimed cardboard, diverted from its original function and transformed into pictorial surfaces.
Influenced from an early age by the arrival of the hip-hop movement from the United States, Gamo naturally turned to graffiti, becoming one of the pioneers of the discipline in Geneva.
Working with acrylic paint, brushes, airbrush, and spray paint, he has developed a versatile artistic practice enriched by experiences in Geneva, throughout Europe, and in the United States.
For him, creation is inseparable from a reflection on the preservation of our planet and the transformation of neglected materials into new forms of expression.
The artist will be present throughout the exhibition and will be delighted to meet visitors and discuss his work.
Enjoy the journey.

Bon voyage.
