Die Orgel im deutschen Barockstil der Saessolsheimer Kirche, die 1995 von Bernard Aubertin erbaut wurde (wir feiern dieses Jahr ihr 30-jähriges Jubiläum!), eignet sich ideal für die Aufführung deutscher Barockmusik, insbesondere von J. S. Bach, kann aber wie jede gute Orgel auch ganz andere Stile aufnehmen!
Das wird der Fall sein, am Sonntag den 6. Juli 2025 um 16 Uhr 30, für ein Konzert völlig auf Jazz-Improvisation gewidmet. Pierre Jacob (Orgel) und Fabrice Ley (Saxophon) sind zwei junge Musiker (20 Jahre alt), die seit langem ein Jazz-repertoire entwickeln mit Klavier und Saxophon, oder Orgel und (Saxophon). Sie haben schon mehrere Konzerte gespielt, in Elsaß, West Frankreich, in der Schweiz…
Für ihr Duo haben sie bekannte oder weniger bekannte Jazz-Standards bearbeitet, von George Shearing, Herbie Hancock, Thad Jones, Antônio Carlos Jobim, Art Blakey…
Manche dieser Melodien sind lebhaft, manche rührend und singend, diese Themen bringen zahlreiche Dialoge zwischen Orgel und Saxophon im Vordergrund, das Ergebnis hat nur die Grenzen der Fantasie, mit der zahlreiche Möglichkeiten der Orgel, mit ihre Klaviere, Register, die verschiedene Atmosphäre mit ihre Bässe, Solo Klänge, Begleitungen, die sich mit der singende und lebendige Präsenz vom Saxophon vereignen. Und die Live-Zauberei wirkt : das ganze Programm besteht aus Improvisationen, ruht auf der Inspiration des Augenblicks und auf der Stimmung des Momentes…

The German Baroque-style organ of the Saessolsheim church, built by Bernard Aubertin in 1995 (we're celebrating its 30th anniversary this year!), is ideal for the performance of German Baroque music, particularly J. S. Bach, but like any good organ, it can also accommodate completely different styles!
This will be the case on Sunday, January 8, 2023 at 4:30 p.m., for a concert entirely devoted to jazz. Pierre Jacob (organ) and Fabrice Ley (saxophone) are two young 20 -year -old musicians, who have developed some years ago a jazz repertoire on the piano and saxophone, or on pipe organ and saxophone. They played severall concerts in Alsace, west of France, Switzerland ... For their duo, they have worked on known and less known jazz standards, by George Shearing, Herbie Hancock, Thad Jones, Antônio Carlos Jobim, Art Blakey ... The melodies are for some coaching, sometimes obsessive, other ones are touching or nostalgic, redeploying these standards in a dialogue with multiple resources between saxophone and organ, the result having only the limits of the imagination, rich in the numerous possibilities of the organ, with its different keyboards, registers, allowing to create multiple atmospheres thanks to its bass, its solo sounds, its accompaniments, which gives the change to inflections full of life and expression of the song of the saxophone. And the magic of the direct operates : the entire program is made of improvisations, depending on the inspiration and the atmosphere of the moment ... L’orgue de l’église de Saessolsheim de style baroque allemand, construit par Bernard Aubertin en 1995 (nous fêtons ses 30 ans cette année !), est idéal pour l’interprétation de la musique baroque allemande, J. S. Bach en particulier, mais comme tout bon orgue, il peut aussi s’approprier des styles complètement

Ce sera le cas dimanche 8 janvier 2023 à 16h30, pour un concert entièrement consacré au jazz.
Pierre Jacob (orgue) et Fabrice Ley (saxophone) sont deux jeunes musiciens de 20 ans, qui depuis des années, développent un répertoire de jazz au piano et au saxophone, ou à l’orgue à tuyau et au saxophone.
Ils ont à leur actif un certain nombre de concerts en Alsace, dans l’ouest de la France, en Suisse…
Pour leur duo, ils ont retravaillé des standards de jazz connus et moins connus, de George Shearing, Herbie Hancock, Thad Jones, Antônio Carlos Jobim, Art Blakey…
Les mélodies sont pour certaines entraînantes, parfois obsessionnelles, pour d’autres touchantes ou nostalgiques, redéployant ces standards dans un dialogue aux multiples ressources entre le saxophone et l’orgue, le résultat n’ayant que les limites de l’imagination, riche des possibilités nombreuses de l’orgue, avec ses différents claviers, registres, permettant de créer de multiples ambiances grâce à ses basses, ses sonorités de solo, ses accompagnements, qui donnent le change aux inflexions pleines de vie et d’expression du chant du saxophone. Et c’est la magie du direct qui opère : le programme entier est fait d’improvisations, en fonction de l’inspiration et de l’atmosphère du moment…
