It will be presented to the public on many occasions, from November 2025 to March 2026 in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, the Hautes-Alpes department, and Switzerland.
Synopsis :
This documentary offers an immersive journey into a unique experience carried out in 2024: a group of geoscience students from the University of Geneva travels to Iceland to explore the major natural phenomena that shape this volcanic land.
The film follows their scientific expedition through breathtaking landscapes — from vast lava fields and towering glaciers to seismic faults. In the field, the students meet with Icelandic researchers, speak with experts from the Icelandic Meteorological Office, and discover the methods used to monitor volcanoes, which are essential for anticipating natural hazards.

Il sera diffusé au public à de nombreuses occasions, de novembre 2025 à mars 2026 en Région Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, dans les Hautes-Alpes et en Suisse.
Synopsis :
Ce documentaire propose une immersion au cœur d’une expérience unique menée en 2024 : un groupe d’étudiants en géosciences de l’Université de Genève part en Islande pour explorer les grands phénomènes naturels qui façonnent cette terre volcanique.
Le film suit leur périple scientifique à travers des paysages spectaculaires, entre champs de lave, imposants glaciers et failles sismiques. Sur le terrain, les étudiants rencontrent des chercheurs islandais, interrogent les experts de l’Office Météorologique Islandais, et découvrent les méthodes de surveillance des volcans, essentielles pour anticiper les risques naturels.
