Camargo foundation opens its doors to the public as part of Meetings(Appointments) in gardens 2019.
Across a guided tour, the public will be able to discover the history(story) of the site, old(former) karstic relief which was transformed little by little into Mediterranean garden by the American artist Jerome Hill in a majestic site in self-assurance(balance) of the sea, facing Course(Cape) Scoundrel. The public will be able also to be introduced in the activities of Foundation, place of residence for artists, researchers and thinkers and in particular in collaborations these last years with the ambient National park of Deep rocky inlets.

The Camargo Foundation was founded in 1967 by American artist and philanthropist Jerome Hill from St Paul, Minnesota, USA. The Camargo Foundation is a place of residence dedicated to art and the human and social sciences. In a quality environment, it offers the time and space to think, create and exchange. It encourages the work of artists, thinkers (philosophers, journalists, curators, etc.) and researchers from all countries and all nationalities.

Presence of parking for residents of the foundation. Nearby transport: The M8 bus line (a ten-minute walk) serves Marseille, Carnoux and Cassis. Line 68 serves Cassis and Aubagne. The foundation is also accessible from the Cassis train station with the M1 bus.
