Inherited from the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, the gardens of Villa Arson offer the unique testimony of a Nice «villa» having undergone various reshapings during its history, up to the contemporary period, with the restructuring of the site around an architectural complex designed in 1966 by Michel Marot to accommodate a school and an art center. Respect for the site, its topography, conservation of remarkable trees, contemporary developments, create a special relationship between the building and the plant. The renovation of 4,500 m2 of terraces, an architectural complex that stands from the fortress, the labyrinth and the hanging gardens of a modern Babylon, gives rise to a project of vegetation that favors an approach of valorization of the Mediterranean species. This landscape and architectural complex has received the «Heritage of the twentieth century» label and is also a true viewpoint over the entire city of Nice.
