Edmond Dantès, a 19-year-old sailor, arrives in Marseille to get engaged the next day with the beautiful Catalan Mercédès. Betrayed by jealous «friends», he is denounced as a Bonapartist conspirator and locked in a prison of the castle of If, off Marseille. After 14 years in prison, he managed to escape and then took methodical revenge on those who wrongly accused him.
The art of series, so popular in our homes, is not new. In 1844, Dumas began the publication of the novel Le Comte de Monte-Cristo, which had remained mythical. Storyteller Nicolas Bonneau, actress musician Fanny Chériaux and guitarist Mathias Castagné revisit this monument on the mode of an exciting radio thriller to watch. Between social satire and romantic impulses, the spectator succumbs with the hero to the limitless enjoyment of revenge.
Under the impetus of storyteller Nicolas Bonneau and musician and actress Fanny Chériaux, the Volige project is developed around three axes: the art of storytelling, the musical narrative and projects of territories and creation in situ.

Edmond Dantès, jeune marin de 19 ans, débarque à Marseille pour s’y fiancer le lendemain avec la belle Catalane Mercédès. Trahi par des « amis » jaloux, il est dénoncé comme conspirateur bonapartiste et enfermé dans une geôle du château d’If, au large de Marseille. Après 14 années d’emprisonnement, il réussit à s’évader et entreprend alors de se venger méthodiquement de ceux qui l’ont accusé à tort.
L’art des séries, si prisé dans nos foyers, ne date pas d’hier. En 1844, Dumas entamait la publication du roman feuilleton Le Comte de Monte-Cristo demeuré mythique. Le conteur Nicolas Bonneau, la musicienne comédienne Fanny Chériaux et le guitariste Mathias Castagné revisitent ce monument sur le mode d’un palpitant polar radiophonique à regarder. Entre satire sociale et élans romanesques, le spectateur succombe avec le héros aux jouissances sans limite de la vengeance.
Sous l’impulsion du conteur Nicolas Bonneau et de la musicienne et comédienne Fanny Chériaux, le projet de la Volige se développe autour de trois axes : l’art du conte, le récit musical et des projets de territoires et de création in situ.
