In a city populated by greedy and selfish inhabitants where the mayor herself does not set an example, rats proliferate dangerously. A lone musician agrees to get rid of them, but he does not get the promised reward. He then decides to take revenge…
Joachim Latarjet, who has already adapted The Little Girl with Matches, offers a rereading of Hamelin’s Flute Player, a cruel and fascinating tale by the Grimm brothers. He transposes it in a city of today, temple of overconsumption, waste that accumulate and money king. On trombone and guitar, he makes it an ode to music while revealing with humor, gravity and poetry, stupidity and human ignorance. At her side, Alexandra Fleischer brings the narration and a sometimes sung word.
On an intimate stage, the duo composes a chiaroscuro show where the comic characters and situations rub shoulders with the mysterious and disturbing.

Dans une ville peuplée d’habitants cupides et égoïstes où Madame le Maire elle-même ne donne pas l’exemple, les rats prolifèrent dangereusement. Un musicien solitaire accepte de les en débarrasser mais il n’obtient pas la récompense promise. Il décide alors de se venger…
Joachim Latarjet, qui a déjà adapté La petite fille aux allumettes, propose une relecture du Joueur de flûte de Hamelin, conte cruel et fascinant des frères Grimm. Il le transpose dans une ville d’aujourd’hui, temple de la surconsommation, des déchets qui s’accumulent et de l’argent roi. Au trombone et à la guitare, il en fait une ode à la musique tout en révélant avec humour, gravité et poésie, la bêtise et l’ignorance humaine. A ses côtés, Alexandra Fleischer porte la narration et une parole parfois chantée.
Sur un plateau intimiste, le duo compose un spectacle en clair-obscur où le comique des personnages et des situations côtoie le mystérieux et l’inquiétant.

In een stad bevolkt door hebzuchtige en egoïstische inwoners waar de burgemeester zelf geen voorbeeld geeft, groeien ratten gevaarlijk. Een eenzame muzikant gaat ermee akkoord ze weg te doen, maar hij krijgt niet de beloofde beloning. Hij besluit dan wraak te nemen…
Joachim Latarjet, die The Little Girl al heeft aangepast met wedstrijden, biedt een herlezing van Hamelin's Flute Player, een wreed en fascinerend verhaal van de gebroeders Grimm. Hij transponeert het in een stad van vandaag, tempel van overconsumptie, afval dat zich verzamelt en geld koning. Op trombone en gitaar maakt hij het een ode aan muziek terwijl hij onthult met humor, zwaartekracht en poëzie, domheid en menselijke onwetendheid. Aan haar zijde brengt Alexandra Fleischer het verhaal en een soms gezongen woord.
Op een intiem podium componeert het duo een chiaroscuro show waar de stripfiguren en situaties schouders van het mysterieuze en verontrustende.
