On Saturday, March 8, the City of Villeneuve-d'Ascq will organize an event to raise awareness and reflect on women’s rights on the occasion of International Women’s Day at Ferme d'en Haut, in partnership with various local associations.

An afternoon of meetings and exchanges

From 3 pm to 6 pm, associations such as Mothers for Peace, Amnesty International, Humanitarian aid and Jozette (participant in the Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles in 2025) will be present in the artistic workshop (all public, family) with the LAM to share their actions and approaches with women. It will be an opportunity to discover their commitments and eventually join them.

A participatory show

At 4:30 p.m., l'Estafette company will present the show «Les dégainées», a committed play featuring two workers from the 70s who are fighting against the relocation of their fine lingerie factory. Free admission, from 6 years.

A collective exhibition

The works created during the workshops of Atelier 2 and LaM, but also the work of members of the social center Flers-Sart in collaboration with the Cie l'Estafette, will be exposed. This exhibition will showcase the talent and commitment of women in the region.
