The eco-attitude festival is back on November 23 at the Science Forum from 2 pm to 6 pm! The Repair Café of Villeneuve d'Ascq celebrates its 10th anniversary! The opportunity to offer you a special edition and animations around this theme!
Don’t you dare throw it away!
Repair is to win! So many resources saved thanks to the talents of the repairers of the Repair Café du Jardin des Bennes who can at your side try to diagnose the breakdown and give a second life to your small household appliances and various objects from the most banal to the most unusual! Learn how to repair your bike alongside mechanics with golden fingers of the northern rims for even more autonomy in your travels!
- 2 pm: “I waste less, I eat better so I save!” Take part in a fun and friendly workshop to share tips and recipes against waste! with the association Oui Change in partnership with the European Metropolis of Lille
- 15h: Maintain your tools to make them last: Abdellah will teach you how to properly maintain your garden tools and sharpen the blades (chainsaws, hedge trimmers, mowers, etc.) for better efficiency and longevity. (inscriptions via ddvascq@villeneuvedascq.fr)
- 16h: The 3D printer, a technology to fight against all-disposable. Fabien Jonckheere will guide you in the use of a 3D printer to remanufacture broken or missing parts to repair an object.
- 17h: Diagnose a recurring failure on a daily device. You demonstrate alongside the repairers of the garden of the dumpsters an everyday object to detect the breakdown and return the object in service.
With the vermicomposting machines of Frédéric BERNARD, you can observe the earthworms without even leaving your home. Forced diet for your garbage! Frédéric will explain the keys and pitfalls to avoid to succeed in compost or vermiricompost.
The Citizenship Association (APC) will present local alternatives on re-employment.
Committing to a Christmas in solidarity - 14h-18h: Toy collection: Your children have grown up, their toys and board games clutter your attics and could please other children. The volunteers of the Local Ecological Council will ensure a permanence to collect toys and children’s games complete and in good condition that will be given to associations of solidarity and reuse to be distributed at Christmas.
When festivity goes with sobriety
During this afternoon you will find many alternatives to make yourself the decorations and gifts of Christmas - 14h30 - 17h30: stamp making workshop (children over 7 years old) with Christmas and nature motifs
- 14h30 - 16h30: make lighting in cardboard with Sebastian from Craft Up and other objects in cardboard
During this afternoon you can learn how to make vegetable tinctures with Anne Betting from Passerelle Ludique or shea balm-aloe vera with Sophie au Naturel.
Get inspired by the fruit pasta confections and other delicacies of Nadine d'Etiquette Nature to delight your guests at Christmas and light up your New Year’s table with the school beeswax candles.
