The trio Washboard and the Jazzy Mates adapts on stage "Là où vont nos pères" (The Arrival), the masterpiece without words by Shaun Tan, Fauve d'or at the 2008 Angoulême Festival.
This comic book tells the universal story of a man who leaves his family, a suitcase in hand, to search for better prospects in an unknown country.
On stage, three musicians give body to the dreamlike and sepia universe of the album: Alexandre Noclain (toy guitars), Bruno Kamalski ("Pierrot" toy drums) and Maryline Pruvost (vocals and keyboards).
Toypianos, ukuleles, guitars and toy machines are diverted and reinvented to bring images and music out of a dream.
The theme of exile is treated with simplicity, never simplistic, carried by an original repertoire where the voice holds an important place.
An intimate and poetic show for all ages from 8 years.

Le trio Washboard and the Jazzy Mates adapte sur scène « Là où vont nos pères » (The Arrival), le chef-d'oeuvre sans paroles de Shaun Tan, Fauve d'or au Festival d'Angoulême 2008.
Cette bande dessinée raconte l'histoire universelle d'un homme qui quitte les siens, une valise à la main, pour partir à la recherche de meilleures perspectives dans un pays inconnu.
Sur scène, trois musiciens donnent corps à l'univers onirique et sépia de l'album : Alexandre Noclain (guitares jouet), Bruno Kamalski (batterie jouet « Pierrot ») et Maryline Pruvost (voix et claviers).
Toypianos, ukulélés, guitares et machines jouet sont détournés et réinventés pour faire surgir images et musique comme d'un rêve.
Le thème de l’exil y est traité avec simplicité, jamais simpliste, porté par un répertoire original où la voix tient une place importante.
Un spectacle intimiste et poétique tout public à partir de 8 ans.

Het wasbord en het Jazzy Mates trio passen zich aan op het podium "waar onze vaders heen gaan", Shaun Tan's lyrisch vrije meesterwerk, Fauve d'Or op het Angouleme Festival 2008.
Deze strip vertelt het universele verhaal van een man die zijn familie verlaat, een koffer in de hand, om op zoek te gaan naar betere vooruitzichten in een onbekend land.
Op het podium geven drie muzikanten inhoud aan het dromerige en sepia universum van het album: Alexandre Noclain (speelgoedgitaren), Bruno Kamalski (speelgoeddrums "Pierrot") en Maryline Pruvost (zang en keyboards).
Toypianos, ukuleles, gitaren en speelgoedmachines worden gekaapt en opnieuw uitgevonden om beelden en muziek tot leven te brengen als een droom.
Het thema van ballingschap wordt behandeld met eenvoud, nooit simplistisch, gedragen door een origineel repertoire waarin de stem een belangrijke plaats inneemt.
Een intieme en poëtische show voor alle doelgroepen vanaf 8 jaar.
