Every year, young refugees arrive in Geneva, often alone and with no points of reference. For them, skateboarding can become a powerful tool for inclusion. This event will feature an introductory workshop, a welcome drink, and film screenings.
Rookie Slash is dedicated to promoting integration through board sports and outdoor activities. Skateboarding is an excellent way to foster social connections and a sense of belonging, as well as to experience city life from a fresh perspective. Come along to watch inspiring documentaries about skateboarding around the world, followed by a free introduction to skateboarding and a friendly gathering. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced skater, everyone is welcome!

Chaque année, de jeunes réfugié·es arrivent à Genève, souvent seul·es et sans repères. Le skateboard peut devenir alors un formidable outil d’inclusion. Cet événement comprendra un atelier d’initiation, un apéritif convivial et une projection de courts métrages.
Rookie Slash s’engage à favoriser l’intégration à travers les sports de glisse et les activités en plein air. Excellent moyen de favoriser le lien social, le skateboard permet de faire partie d’un groupe et de ressentir la ville. Venez découvrir des documentaires inspirants sur le skateboard à travers le monde, suivis d’un apéro convivial et d’une initiation gratuite au skate. Que vous soyez débutant·e ou confirmé·e, tout le monde est bienvenu !
Programme :
17:30 à 19:00 : initiation au skateboard
19:30 à 20:00 : apéro offert par l’Hospice Général
20:00 : projection de courts métrages
