The Maison des champs de Petit-Couronne had already been in his family for half a century when Pierre Corneille inherited it when his father died in 1639. He lived there, since his sister Marie, in 1623 then his daughter, Marie, in 1646 and 1648 were godmothers of children of the village, which indicates close relations with the inhabitants. It was in 1874 that the Department acquired the property to install a Cornelian museum. Since 1 January 2016, the establishment has been transferred to the Rouen Normandy Metropolis. The visit allows you to discover the house and life of the Corneille family, but also the lifestyles in the 17th century
