Guided tours of the botanical garden of the Faculty of Health of Angers

A true institution dating back to 1890, this study garden preserves 2000 plant species. In the center a garden divided into 32 flower beds where the plants are classified by botanical families. A greenhouse is home to tropical plants such as lemongrass, sensitive or carnivorous plants. The arboreteum boasts a sassafras, a 150-year-old araucaria, a giant redwood 42 m high or a female ginkgo. On the terrace, the thematic garden presents massifs of plants grouped according to their therapeutic virtues. The visit will end in the seed factory where the species are kept in more than 1600 jars of seeds.
