À propos du lieu

Jardin romain du site archéologique d'Argentomagus
Les Mersans 36200 Saint-Marcel

In this museum, the prehistoric vestiges are presented in a chronological way, and those of Gallo-Roman period in a thematic way. Situated behind the Museum, a space answers these questions. Lots of smells and of flavors, he(it) presents approximately 150 sorts(species) cultivated, accompanied with their name on antique tile(blow) and distributed in 4 big(great) themes:
* The aromatic and condiment plants,
* The decorative plants,
* The medicinal,
* The world of the fabric(tissue), with tinctoriales, textile plants and the world of the basketwork. A closing, a pergola and borders suggest the antique gardens represented on the antique frescoes.
