The Manoli Museum, initiated in 2001 by the sculptor’s family (1927-2001) became a departmental museum in 2017\. Two steps from the banks of Rance, he presents several hundred works in eight rooms distributed in an intimate garden, as an invitation to meditate...where always hovers the presence of the artist. In this very place where Manoli lived and created, the collection offers a vision of the entire work of the artist, author of the «Grande Voile» at the Montparnasse station, of «Cheminée à l'Université Pierre et Marie Curie ou encore du mobilier liturgique de la Cathédrale de Quimper.
MANOLI took an interest not only in salvage materials but also in granite, earthenware and metal, whose standards he challenged in order to bring out characters, animals and abstract works.
The result is amazing. On the green grass, between the trees, are sculptures like sheep with propellers. Flights of birds in gilded metal, owls born of a plough pedestal shaped by the flame and balanceists who see
