At the edge of the Poitevin marsh on the heights of the valley of the Corde rise an elegant castle of the 19è s and part of the first castle of the 16è s, surrounded by a park divided into 5 spaces: remarkable garden in the French, English garden with trees and bicentennials, exotic garden, undergrowth, woods, meadows. Historic residence of Denis LOYNES (Marquis de la Coudraie, Governor of Fontenay le Comte). King Henry IV stayed there during the siege of Fontenay in 1587.
