Discovery visit of the Littoral Park
Located near the Marine Museum, on the esplanade of Mindin and overlooked by the coastal path leading to the Ocean Snake (work of «Estuaire 2012»), the Littoral Park was created about fifteen years ago.
Originally, this botanical park was to allow the exchange of plants with the Nantes Botanical Garden. This garden has unfortunately declined, especially because of the drastic standards of use of phytosanitary products.
Today, the space has been restructured and embellished with perennials and grasses in several decorations. The garden was renamed «parc du Littoral» in 2010, and is listed in the guide of parks and gardens of Loire-Atlantique since 2012.
The plants are adapted to the living environment to obtain a pleasant aspect of maintenance and flowering. A playground for children embellishes the site which offers a breathtaking view of the bridge of Saint-Nazaire and the shipyards.
