In September 2022, the municipality of Audenge launched landscaping work on the spaces near the city centre and the church, creating a large public park around it. It was a question of maintaining the communal associative uses: festivals, forum, markets, garage sale, petanque, artists... In an approach of development and sustainable development of the territory, this 3 hectare landscaped public park is a real green lung in the village. Accessible to all, intergenerational, it creates social links and contributes to the quality of the living environment and the attractiveness of the city while protecting biodiversity. The principle of this development was to build around and in harmony with the existing nature. Urban furniture with many benches, tables, sports licenses, games, are available to the public. Many plants (trees, shrubs, perennials, grasses...) have been planted accompanying the rustic grass and flowering meadows.
