Guided tour: meeting with Jean-Marc de Pas and visit of his workshop
Saturday, June 1, Jean-Marc de Pas, sculptor, author of a number of works in the public or private space especially in Normandy and creator of the Garden of sculptures on his childhood lands for 35 years, welcomes you in his workshop to exchange on this life project, the creation of the Garden and sculpture.
After visiting the Garden and the Exhibition, and discovering a second bronze copy of the Little Prince installed last September on Ve Avenue at the entrance of Villa Albertine in New York,
In particular, you can discover the materials used in the workshop: clay to create the original work (on armatures for monumental works) or sometimes wood, the step of creating a mold of the work in elastomer with shells of resin reinforcement and the step of publishing works from these bronze molds using an art foundry, or the workshop in resin, cement or plaster.
Saturday 1st June from 10am to 1pm and from 3pm to 6pm. Admission to the site at the normal rate, Free under 18 exceptionally with: - free visit of the Sculpture Garden from 10am to 6pm on June 1 and 2 - Sensory guided tour (3 slots: 01/06 10:30-12h, 2:30-16h; 02/06 10:30-12h) meeting trees, plants and also sculptures. - Fun observation trail for families: search for what elements belong to a number of details taken in photo, with the presentation of the work, the plant or the building afterwards; - Exhibition 80 years "Saint Exupéry, Commander, Aviator and Writer" in partnership with the Antoine de Saint Exupéry Youth Foundation, Exhibition sponsored by Michel Bussi, with . educational panels, facsimiles - archives, drawings and its bracelet found in 1998 off Marseille - and photos of John Phillips . selected illustrations of the comic in 3 volumes by Cédric Fernandez presented in the Jardin, . sculptures by Jean-Marc de Pas on the artist and his best known work, the Little Prince; - Permanent exhibition on the life and work of Pierre Le Pesant de Boisguilbert (1646-1714) precursor of the political economy; - Exhibition «Clay to bronze» in the pavilion, to discover the different phases of creation;
