Discover the natural areas that surround today and once comprised the properties of the castle, to explore these different spaces and exchange between historical and natural heritage. Attention, this visit requires to be well shod and has the constraint to adapt to the natural difference in height of the park of the castle and its surroundings.

The first Renaissance castle in France, Gaillon was accompanied in the 16th century by a series of remarkable gardens. Food gardens, pleasure gardens, hunting park, now extend over thirty hectares. Entirely to be restored, their gradual opening to the public allows to discover the main structures and views inherited from a sumptuous era. The archbishops of Rouen, owners of Gaillon until the Revolution, received Louis XII, François I, Louis XVI and Benjamin Franklin.
