The living garden is rich in shapes, colours, materials, textures, scents, surprises…
Among the 170 listed species of its flora, endemic species, melliferous, butterfly host plants, edible, aromatic or medicinal.
As an extension of the step-by-step discovery of the living world of the garden, we offer you some sensory experiences «blind» to solicit your senses of taste, touch and smell:
- tastes and colours: tasting of syrups in partnership with the Mas de Tourevès (organic and local on which we will tell you everything!),
- groping: invitation to touch elements taken from the garden: texture, shape, weight, leaf, stem, etc.
- range of scents: in partnership with perfumer Fragonard.
And, if you wish, we’ll give you some “grandma recipes” based on good weeds…!
The garden, refuge of the Bird Protection League, is a sensitive and sensory extension of the museum, favorable to biodiversity. Your eyes can also be sharpened in the collections of Decorative Arts and in the exhibitions «short circuit» and «Jeanne Coquard».
