Maison d'hôtes EdenOuest
33 rue Thiers 17000 La rochelle

This mansion, built in 1745, is nestled in the heart of the old ironworks district of the city, located between the old walls destroyed after the siege of Richelieu in 1630 and the new fortifications still visible today (royal gate, Maubeck gate). Bought in 2012, this former shipowner’s house whose roof beams are old pieces of ship assembled in key of Jupiter, will benefit from 18 months of restoration according to an artistic scheme designed by Lise Humeau, painter and co-mistress of the place. Renovated in its original classic style, the artistic choices sought, shake the classic spirit of the private mansion in an ode to color, light and arts.
