Le Jardin du Musée d'Art moderne
Place saint-pierre 10000 Troyes
Located at the back of the former Episcopal Palace, the garden of the Museum of Modern Art has been completely redesigned as part of the renovation of the Museum of Modern Art. This work was done with the landscapers of Métamorphose.
The new garden is inspired by the history of the place and evokes the old vegetable garden of the Episcopal Palace. The hues of the flowers and perennials respond to the shimmering colors of Marinot’s paintings and Derain’s fauve period, both major artists of the Pierre and Denise Lévy collections.
A place of strolling and relaxation, it is also a sculpture garden that opens the museum’s path on more contemporary collections. Martine-Martine’s bronzes and the historical deposits of the Centre Pompidou, such as Germaine Richier’s La Spirale, have been scripted in their new green setting. Several new depots of the National Center of Plastic Arts complete this journey. Le Promeneur by Augustin Cardenas, Le Baldaquin by Alain Séchas, Untitled by Damien Cabanes
