Located inside the Tête d'Or park, the Lyon Botanical Garden is the largest municipal garden in France. Today, it houses many collections, spread over 8 hectares, including 6,500 m² of greenhouses, comprising about 15,000 botanical species, 1,400 of which are considered threatened. The Botanical Garden of Lyon is recognized for the richness of its collections, 9 of which are certified by the Conservatoire des Collections Végétales Spécialisés.
In addition to its mission of preserving the plant world, the Lyon Botanical Garden is known for its cultural and educational missions, which means welcoming school, adult and family audiences to a variety of activities and exhibitions. They make it possible to discover the universe of plants while being sensitive to nature and the environment
