The Gardeners Festival celebrates its 30th anniversary!

On the threshold of summer, lovers of the art of living in the gardens have an appointment at the Château du Lude for this great event.

Still present for the event, nearly 60 exhibitors peacefully invade the large terrace, creating an ephemeral and colorful garden.

Collectors of plants, nurserymen, horticulturists offer the best of their production: trees, shrubs, ornamental plants or vegetable gardens, grasses, plants of dry or wet ground, all gardeners find their happiness. We also find everything necessary to maintain and decorate the garden with stands of tools, outerwear, flea market and garden decor. Since a few editions, cesexposants are joined not the producers of local delicacies: cheeses, honey, herbal teas, organic bread or fresh vegetables.

The Fête des Jardiniers is above all a place to learn and learn.

Visitors attend or participate in the many workshops spread across the gardens. Professionals provide their know-how and techniques to the public. Children are not forgotten. They are introduced to gardening with planting workshops and environmental awareness.

A day dedicated to the free of garden

Literature dedicated to the garden and plants is honored during the Gardeners Festival. On Saturday, the PJ Redouté Prize is awarded to the best publication of the year on the theme of gardens or plants. Botanical books, beautiful books, novels, collections of poetry, books of practical advice, all categories are represented.

30 years is a celebration!

To celebrate the anniversary of a plant festival, what better than the baptism of a rose, queen of flowers and gardens? Saturday 1st, the public will be able to attend this ceremony and discover the rose "Château du Lude" created by the nurseries Guillot for the occasion, with for godfather Mr. Stéphane Bern.

Activities for the whole day.

During this weekend, the castle is also open to visitors. the rooms, spread over 5 levels, reveal the daily life of a private castle inhabited continuously for more than 270 years. From the kitchens, at the moat level, to the staff’s apartment and lingerie, to the top of the tower, through the ceremonial lounges, the library or the chappelle, we discover all the aspects of a large house. Children dress up as princess or knight during the visit and are accompanied in their discovery by Timoléo and his playbook. On Sunday afternoon, head to the kitchen for a moment of indulgence. The old wood stoves are used to make jams from the fruits of the garden. They are then enjoyed on hot pancakes.
