Nude, Life Drawing
Capturing movement, revealing emotion: Sahuc draws the human body with strength, freedom and spontaneity. Part of the permanent collection of a modern art museum in Moscow.

François Sahuc, a French artist and architect, studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris before founding his own architectural practice in the Marais district in 1984. However, his professional work could not fully satisfy his deep-seated need to draw and his fascination with the human body. He therefore turned to life-drawing workshops, particularly the one led by artist Bertrand Godard, to nurture this passion.
For 30 years, he pursued his dual passions for architecture and drawing. Today, he devotes himself entirely to his art in his Paris studio. His emotionally charged works go beyond anatomical representation, capturing the essence and individuality of each model and creating an intimate dialogue between artist and subject.
Through years of exploration, François has refined his style into a lively, spontaneous form of drawing, captured in the moment. His figures, with their rounded yet elongated curves, are defined by bold, confident, sometimes vibrant lines. Working with both female and male models, he captures the essence of movement and personality in just a few minutes. His work is distinguished by constant technical experimentation.
François Sahuc exhibits his work in numerous galleries in Bordeaux, across Europe and internationally, including Amsterdam, New York, Mexico City, Moscow and Marbella.
