In order to transmit the wealth of the heritage of their village, the leaders of the municipality of Ibos and the association La Maison des Patrimoines d'Ibos wanted to have elements of analysis in order to better understand its organization and on the other hand, to initiate a reflection on the factors that must be taken into account to ensure a coherent development of urban planning. The study carried out by the CAUE des Hautes-Pyrénées proposes to be a «reading tool» to understand the organization of space.
The analysis initiated is the first step in a more global approach which consists in «learning to look at» a space, to perceive its components, its characteristics, to detect its constants and to become aware of its values, both for its formal qualities and for its social and symbolic meaning: in other words, to perceive the cultural value of space.
It is the result of this work that is presented to you because the investment of all is necessary.
