Diese Diskussionsrunde bietet einen Einblick in die Geschichte der Hochhäuser und das architektonische Denken von Georges Candilis, einer bedeutenden Figur der modernen Architektur. Ausgehend von regionalen und nationalen Beispielen werden Architekten, Städteplaner, Landschaftsgärtner und Forscher ihre Perspektiven auf die Zukunft der großen Ensembles des 20. Jahrhunderts, ihre Transformation und ihre Anpassung an die aktuellen Herausforderungen miteinander verbinden. Welchen Platz haben diese Architekturen in der Stadt von morgen? Wie können wir ihre Geschichte bewahren und gleichzeitig auf die neuen Bedürfnisse der Bewohner und die ökologischen Herausforderungen eingehen? Ein Treffen, um diese Gebäude auf eine neue Weise zu betrachten, ihre Geschichte zu verstehen und gemeinsam ihre Zukunft vorzustellen.

This round table proposes to go back over the history of high-rise buildings and the architectural thought of Georges Candilis, a major figure in modern architecture. Based on regional and national examples, architects, urban planners, landscape designers and researchers will look at the future of large complexes in the 20th century, their transformation and adaptation to contemporary challenges. What place for these architectures in the city of tomorrow? How to preserve their history while meeting the new needs of the inhabitants and environmental issues? A meeting to look at these buildings differently, understand their history and collectively imagine their future.

Questa tavola rotonda propone di tornare sulla storia degli edifici alti e sul pensiero architettonico di Georges Candilis, figura fondamentale dell'architettura moderna. Sulla base di esempi regionali e nazionali, architetti, urbanisti, paesaggisti e ricercatori si confronteranno sul futuro dei grandi complessi del XX secolo, la loro trasformazione e il loro adattamento alle sfide contemporanee. Quale posto per queste architetture nella città di domani? Come preservare la loro storia e al tempo stesso rispondere ai nuovi bisogni dei cittadini e alle sfide ambientali? Un incontro per guardare in modo diverso questi edifici, comprendere la loro storia e immaginare collettivamente il loro futuro.

Cette table ronde propose de revenir sur l’histoire des immeubles de grande hauteur et sur la pensée architecturale de Georges Candilis, figure majeure de l’architecture moderne. À partir d’exemples régionaux et nationaux, architectes, urbanistes, paysagistes et chercheurs croiseront leurs regards sur l’avenir des grands ensembles du 20e siècle, leur transformation et leur adaptation aux enjeux contemporains. Quelle place pour ces architectures dans la ville de demain ? Comment préserver leur histoire tout en répondant aux nouveaux besoins des habitants et aux enjeux environnementaux ? Une rencontre pour regarder autrement ces bâtiments, comprendre leur histoire et imaginer collectivement leur avenir.

Esta mesa redonda propone volver sobre la historia de los edificios de gran altura y sobre el pensamiento arquitectónico de Georges Candilis, figura fundamental de la arquitectura moderna. A partir de ejemplos regionales y nacionales, arquitectos, urbanistas, paisajistas e investigadores van a cruzar sus miradas sobre el futuro de los grandes conjuntos del siglo XX, su transformación y su adaptación a los desafíos contemporáneos. ¿Qué lugar tienen estas arquitecturas en la ciudad del mañana? ¿Cómo preservar su historia y al mismo tiempo responder a las nuevas necesidades de los habitantes y a los retos medioambientales? Un encuentro para mirar de otra manera estos edificios, entender su historia e imaginar colectivamente su futuro.
