Solaire is an exhilarating work created especially for the Night of Museums. Inspired by the contemplation of the painting of Georges Kars «the flamenco dancers», the choreography, rich in sounds and colors, carries a radiant dancer in a solo that announces the arrival of summer, the warmth of the shimmering rays of the sun, songs, dances, the party! Performed by dancer Ekaterina Melnikova, conducted by Lydie Piéplu, dancer and choreographer of the Lydie Piéplu Ballet.

The Museum of Modern Art was created in 1976 with the donation of almost 2,000 works by Pierre and Denise Lévy, a Trojan industrial couple and collectors. The painter André Derain and the Trojan glassmaker Maurice Marinot, close friends of the Lévys, are well represented here, alongside such great modern artists as Courbet, Braque, Gris, Soutine, Modigliani, Dufresne, La Fresnaye, Buffet, Balthus and De Staël.
