«Canzonette» is a program composed of Italian madrigas from the late 16th and early 17th centuries. These love songs have graced the evenings and feasts of the nobility of northern Italy since the beginning of the Renaissance. While delicately combining the pangs of unrequited feelings with the love transports, the music borrows the rhythms of popular dances as if to make the listener understand the universal irony of the situation of the lover who chains himself to the object of his desire. Two composers will be featured. Next to 2 madrigals of the immense Monterverdi, we will hear 2 pieces of one of his predecessors, fallen into oblivion, Antonio Morsolino.
The 6 singers of the ensemble of the Cie des Humbles, under the direction of Xavier Claverie-Rospide, accompanied by a viola de gambe and a lute recreate for one night the atmosphere of the evenings that could be organized in this particular hotel in the heart of the French Renaissance.

The Hotel de Vauluisant presents the collections of Champagne art of the Renaissance, known as the Beau 16th century, as well as the collections of the hosiery. The Beautiful 16th century: Painted panels, statues and stained glass windows illustrate the subtle passage from the aesthetics of the Gothic to its apogee, to that, emerging and more precious of the Renaissance. The painting reflects the Italian and Nordic influences (Assumption of the Virgin, Saint Joseph’s Dream). In sculpture, all the trends of the century are represented: Master of Chaource, Jacques Juliot, Dominique Florentin and François Gentil. The stained glass window shines with its last lights with the works of Linard Gontier (didactic exhibition). La Bonneterie: Evocation of the most emblematic activity of Troyes, European city of knitwear. Ancestral know-how and textile creation. From the wooden looms to the sophisticated machines of the “Golden Age” of the 19th and 20th centuries. Knitted items: stockings, socks,
