Installed(Settled) in the Big(Great) Butcher's shops of the city built in 1588, the Historic Museum proposes a route(course) on the history(story) of Strasbourg of Middle Ages in the creation of the European institutions. A choice(selection) of objects and a plan-town plan of 1727 allow to evoke the history(story) of Strasbourg in three chapters: the city free of the Germanic Roman Saint (1262-1681), the royal then revolutionary free city (1681-1800) and since the end of 2013, new rooms present the collections of the XIXth century and the XXth century and the factors(mailmen) which made of Strasbourg a regional metropolis and an European capital.
