The Adam Mickiewicz museum presents life and work of Adam Mickiewicz (1798-1855), most Polish romantic great poet. It was created by his son Władysław in 1903. Mickiewicz belongs to the Poles what Goethe belongs to the Germans: symbol of national identity and of cultural unity(unit). Political emigrant, pilgrim of freedom, he passed(spent, crossed) a lot of his life in Paris where he knotted(tied) famous friendships and declared brightly to the Collège de France. For the Europeans of today, Mickiewicz is among the first visionaries of united Europe. Adam Mickiewicz museum
