Formed in 1998 in Sonoma, California, Groundation stand as a leading force in progressive roots reggae. From the outset, the band forged a distinctive sound blending reggae with jazz, carried by mesmerising melodies, powerful polyrhythms and soul-infused vocal harmonies. They gained international recognition with Hebron Gate (2002), produced by Jim Fox, and have continued to evolve through an ever-shifting line-up. With over two decades of music-making, eleven albums, performances across five continents and collaborations with Jamaican legends, Groundation remain a cornerstone of the global reggae scene.
