Robots, lucky charms or tarot cards: all these objects reflect our desire to understand what tomorrow may hold. Between beliefs, technologies and imaginaries, they reveal the richness of the different ways in which we attempt to anticipate the future. Through this exhibition, the MEG explores what the notion of the future actually means.
Developed collaboratively and participatively with teenagers, the exhibition is designed to be understood and experienced on multiple levels, by children aged 8 and above as well as by adults.
*What Is the Future?* addresses the broad question of possible futures through real and fictional objects, artworks and installations intended to help visitors engage with the future through the body, the mind and the senses.

Robots, porte-bonheurs ou cartes de tarot : tous ces objets reflètent notre désir de comprendre ce que demain nous réserve. Entre croyances, technologies et imaginaires, ils révèlent la richesse des façons d’anticiper l’avenir. Dans son exposition, le MEG questionne ce que veut dire le futur.
Construite de manière collaborative et participative avec des adolescent.e.s, l’exposition est conçue pour être comprise et vécue à différents niveaux de lecture, par des enfants dès l’âge de 8 ans comme par des adultes.
Le futur, c’est quoi ? présente la vaste question des futurs possibles à travers des objets réels ou fictionnels, des œuvres d’art et des installations qui doivent permettre de mieux l’apprivoiser, par le corps, l’esprit et les sens.
