Each year, the Société des Amis de la Piscine offers conferences on major current exhibitions or art history.
Sunday, April 27, 2025 "Rodin/Bourdelle destins croisés" at 3:30 pm.
A conference by Maxime Paz, lecturer in art history who also participates in documentary films and exhibition catalogs. He wrote a text in the beautiful catalog.
In connection with the exhibition, the most beautiful pieces of the two sculptors will be confronted with those of Brancusi, Duchamp-Villon and Orloff. It is impossible to overlook each person’s singular relationship with monumental sculpture, or the works that result from hybridizations between animal, plant, and human: mythology, its centaurs, and its faunas are regaining their original breath. "The men who walk" will conclude the speech, that of Rodin in majesty, then those of Richier and Giacometti, both students of Bourdelle.
This exceptional conference replaces the "La collection Frick" conference. 5 € for Friends of La Piscine, 8 € normal, 3 € students and job seekers Careful to book
