At the beginning of the 1950s, on the banks of the Marne, François, an 11-year-old boy, discovers with interest that his parents are starting to build a boat in the small family garden, replica of the famous sailor Joshua Slocum’s sailboat. Over the years, in post-war France, young François will sail from adolescence to adulthood. As the boat is built, while looking at his mother and father with a tender and poetic eye, the young boy will start his own adventure, which will lead him on the path of his passions, the sea and drawing.
