Each year, the Société des Amis de la Piscine offers conferences on major current exhibitions or art history.
Sunday, March 21, 2027: When art comes to the table, by Marie Castelain
Why did so many artists like Vermeer, Chardin, Bonnard and Cézanne take an interest in the theme of the table? Gathering, ceremony, banquet, conviviality... The table also caught the attention of artists through the theme of still life. An invitation to discover different ways of sitting down at the table and describing the characteristic features of the times on a cultural, religious, social and economic level.

€5 for the Friends of La Piscine
€4 for students and job seekers
The lectures are given on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. in the Daniel Motte auditorium at La Piscine (it is wise to arrive a little early).

Chaque année la Société des Amis de La Piscine propose des conférences autour des grandes expositions en cours ou de l’histoire de l’art.
Dimanche 21 mars 2027 : Quand l'art passe à table, par Marie Castelain
Pourquoi tant d’artistes comme Vermeer, Chardin, Bonnard, Cézanne se sont-ils intéressés au thème de la table ? Rassemblement, cérémonie, banquet, convivialité, … La table a aussi retenu toute l’attention des artistes à travers le thème de la nature morte. Une invitation à découvrir différentes façons de se mettre à table et de décrire les traits caractéristiques des époques sur le plan culturel et religieux, social et économique.

5 € pour les Amis de La Piscine
4 € pour les étudiants et demandeurs d’emploi
Les conférences sont données le dimanche à 15h 30 à l’auditorium Daniel Motte à La Piscine (il est prudent d’arriver un peu à l’avance).

Elk jaar biedt de Vereniging van vrienden van het zwembad conferenties rond de grote tentoonstellingen in uitvoering of de geschiedenis van de kunst
Zondag 21 maart 2027: Als kunst naar de tafel gaat, Door Marie Castelain
Waarom waren zoveel kunstenaars als Vermeer, Chardin, Bonnard, Cézanne geïnteresseerd in het thema van de tafel? Bijeenkomst, ceremonie, banket, gezelligheid, … de tafel trok ook de aandacht van kunstenaars door het thema van het stilleven. Een uitnodiging om verschillende manieren te ontdekken om aan tafel te zitten en om de karakteristieke kenmerken van de tijd op cultureel, religieus, sociaal en economisch niveau te beschrijven.

5 € voor vrienden van het zwembad
€ 4 voor studenten en werkzoekenden
Lezingen worden gegeven op zondag om 15 uur 30 in het Daniel Motte auditorium bij het zwembad (het is verstandig om een beetje van tevoren te arriveren).
