Excluded from the Olympic movement in its modern renaissance, women have taken decades to acquire, little by little, their rightful place in sport in general and especially in the Olympic movement. A course long surrounded by prejudices and prohibitions but fortunately sown great memorable firsts where some emblematic women played an exemplary role. This exhibition allows both to measure the spectacular progress made in more than 130 years, from virtual exclusion to total parity, without omitting anything from what has been said and done, and to highlight as many women as possible who have played a role or simply symbolized this evolution.
