In the heart of a neighborhood by the sea near the town center of Cancale asserts itself a house as original in its architecture as in its thermal performance.
The need of the owners allowed to realize the house on the west side of the ground and on the other side a professional room.
The courtyard where the cars and bicycles are positioned makes it possible to make the connection between these two volumes.
The house offers on the street a facade and gables dressed with cement panels in an off-white color in harmony with the color of the stone joints of the neighboring houses.
The project is based on passive design (bioclimatic orientation, thermal envelope quality and double flow ventilation).
The ecological footprint of this highly insulated building is minimized by its very low energy consumption in need of heat for the winter (7 kWh/ m² / year). In summer the building is protected from summer overheating by its orientable sun breezes.
Thus this passive house does not undergo large temperature variations inside, it is for this reason that it does not need an active system such as heating, or air conditioning to operate.
In addition, the inhabitants benefit from a constant healthy air flow thanks to the double VMC.
