The CAUE de l'Ain, proposes a visit to the recycling plant of the Community of Communes of Dombes with explanations from Sandra Rudiger Architect and Hervé Martineau specialized mason Pisa.

The architecture proposed for the recycling plant is inspired by the model of the hall and half-timbered buildings, so beautifully represented in Châtillon-sur-Chalaronne.
It is intrinsically linked to bioclimatic principles with its large roof overhangs and wooden slats sun breaks. The wooden structure is apparent and the facades are written by the wood frame construction system with alternating glass frames completed with a wood cladding, and full frames in lime plaster.
The project is intended to be frugal. The design was carried out by seeking to optimize the quantity of material and promoting the use of local resources or from reuse.
The architecture shows the commitment to reduce the carbon footprint of the act of building by massively using wood and site land.
