The island of Nantes: an urban project committed to the climate transition
_
Le_ Hangar 32, exhibition space dedicated to the urban project of the island of Nantes, presents the major challenges of this changing territory, for more than 20 years.
Discover in particular the three ambivalent projects In early 2023, they will develop by 2026 at the western tip of the Prairie-au-Duc neighbourhood:
- Lighthouse by Grafton architects,
- The Forest by Herault-Arnod + pöm
- Java by Bond society + Schultearchitekten
They are both part of the continuity of the existing on the urban and programmatic level (mix of uses, special attention to the animation of the ground floor, link with the neighborhood, shared spaces...) ; while proposing an architectural renewal and strong environmental ambitions, with a low carbon objective. A new phase that marks a collective commitment and shared values for the ecological and social transition of this piece of city.
The model projects are to be discovered at Hangar 32.
