@ JB Barret pour le Mémorial de la catastrophe de 1902

Discover the eruption of Mount Pelee in its historical, social and musical context during a guided tour led by the Memorial of the Disaster of 1902 and Vox Caribæi. During this visit, a dialogue is established between objects and music, reviving the time of a visit to the city of Saint-Pierre from the beginning of the 20th century.
Vox Caribæi Founded in 2016, the Vox Caribæi ensemble is dedicated to early music. Its repertoire extends from antiquity to the early 19th century. The whole thus carries out an approach that touches the heritage of all inhabited continents. Based in La Martinique, Vox Caribæi is the first of its kind in the Lesser Antilles. His artistic work and interpretations are based on ancient musical notations as well as other historical documents. This approach is complemented by collaboration with specialized luthiers, to restore some missing instruments.
