The Centre Occitan des Musiques et Danses Traditionnelles Toulouse Midi-Pyrénées is a resource centre dedicated to the Occitan culture of oral tradition in the fields of music and dance. Its mission is to safeguard, enhance and transmit this heritage through teaching, dissemination, artistic and cultural education, instrumental production and documentation. A regional centre, it supports and structures projects in the Midi-Pyrénées region. From its fundamental missions, the COMDT builds exchanges and bridges with music from other traditions and ancient music.
